OpenSutra has currently organized the published fascicles of this work under "Yongle Northern Canon/Local Compositions," with image sources and catalog numbers listed separately in each fascicle's record. It can provisionally be understood as a Buddhist treatise/composition; such works typically have value for intellectual history, sectarian history, and the circulation of editions. The value of Buddhist treatises and compositions often lies in preserving specific interpretive traditions of particular authors, schools, or periods. Here the readable fascicles of "Catalogue of the Sui Dynasty's Collected Sūtras, Five Volumes" are gathered in the original catalog order, suitable for consulting by volume number, catalog number, Qianziwen volume number, or title.
