OpenSutra The currently published volumes of this work have been organized under "Yongle Northern Canon / Mahāyāna Sūtras / Nirvana Section;" image sources and catalogue numbers are listed in each volume record. It can be initially understood within the Nirvana section of the canon, with emphasis on nirvana thought, Buddha-nature, and the preservation of the true Dharma. Literature in the Nirvana section commonly revolves around themes of the Buddha's parinirvana, Buddha-nature, monastic discipline, and guardianship of the Dharma. Here the readable volumes of the Mahaparinirvana Sūtra (Forty Rolls) are gathered in the original catalogue order, suitable for inspection by volume number, catalogue number, thousand-character volume number, or title.
