Tibetan Buddhist image-making emphasizes strict iconometric methods. The bodily proportions, seated postures, mudras, ritual implements, and crown ornaments of sacred figures such as Buddhas, bodhisattvas, protectors, and yidams all follow corresponding standards. Such manuals served painters, sculptors, and monastic workshops, while also preserving standardized knowledge of Buddhist iconography and ritual transmission. This item is titled “Tibetan Iconometric Measurements,” with the English title Tibetan pattern book of proportions, marked as eighteenth century and consisting of thirty-six images. It is suitable for research on Tibetan Buddhist iconography, image proportions, workshop instruction, and knowledge of Buddhist art in cross-cultural collecting.
