The Saviouress Mother is Tara, who in Tibetan Buddhism symbolizes compassion, protection, and swift blessings. The praises to the Twenty-One Taras constitute a highly representative hymn system. This item is titled “Praise to the Twenty-One Saviouress Mothers,” marked as a Qing manuscript copied by Yongrong and held by the National Library of China. The Qing court maintained close relations with Tibetan Buddhism, and such manuscripts can be used to observe the Chinese-language writing of Tara praise texts, religious transmission, and the background of court collection.
