The Ten Recitation Vinaya is an important Chinese translation within the sectarian vinaya tradition; its contents concern monastic precepts, communal affairs, handling of offenses, ordination systems and related origin stories. It is of important reference value for studying the transmission of Buddhist precepts, sectarian institutions and medieval Chinese Buddhist vinaya scholarship.
