OpenSutra has currently organized the published fascicles of this work under "Yongle Northern Canon / Local Authorship"; image sources and catalogue numbers are listed in each fascicle's record. It can be initially understood as a Buddhist treatise-type work, and generally has value for intellectual history, sectarian history, and textual transmission. The value of Buddhist treatise-type literature often lies in preserving the interpretive traditions of particular authors, sects, or eras.
