OpenSutra The currently published volumes of this work have been organized under "Yongle Northern Canon / Mahāyāna Sūtras / Nirvana Section;" image sources and catalogue numbers are listed in each volume record. It can be initially understood within the Nirvana section of the canon, with emphasis on nirvana thought, Buddha-nature, and the preservation of the true Dharma. Literature in the Nirvana section commonly revolves around themes of the Buddha's parinirvana, Buddha-nature, monastic discipline, and guardianship of the Dharma. Here the readable volumes of the Southern Edition Mahaparinirvana Sūtra (Thirty-six Rolls) are gathered in the original catalogue order, suitable for inspection by volume number, catalogue number, thousand-character volume number, or title.
